Meet Irene Yakovleva, Individual EFT Therapist in Vancouver, BC

by | Sep 21, 2026

Sometimes we lose touch with ourselves. We doubt what we feel, struggle to know what we need, or find ourselves repeating patterns that leave us feeling stuck.

Irene supports people navigating narcissistic relationships, self-doubt, shame, life transitions, relational and intergenerational trauma, and disconnection from themselves.

Her approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply curious. She draws on training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational trauma, narcissistic abuse, and shame-informed approaches to help clients understand their patterns, reconnect with themselves, and build more authentic relationships.

As a mother, partner, daughter, friend, and immigrant, Irene’s own experiences have deepened her understanding of how complicated relationships, identity, and belonging can be. She brings that lived perspective into her work with empathy, openness, and genuine care.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for counselling. You can come as you are.

Irene offers a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if working together feels like the right fit.
